Outreach
In general the year 2019 was a transition period where the Wikimedia Suomi is growing. Our association got new board members including a new head of board and secretary, we also were refining our staff roles and started a new big project Helsinki rephotography which was an extension for our Wiki Loves Monuments work. Handling growth and changes took time and it affected our outreach plans.
The Women's month was again a big success. We got XXX new articles, YYY participants where ZZZ were new and good media coverage. Also, the education program continued to be a stable performer. We made 4 SPARQL and semantic web workshops for XX teachers ( and Taulukkokirja was converted to wiki code. (These are already reported in midpoint report) Wiki Loves Monuments, Libraries collaboration and Helsinki rephotography work were, however, were in key parts of the changes and there the results were mixed. Generally, there were targets which just didn't happen as we didn't time or we just simplified our plans for various reasons. The results in the raw numbers were also lower than our initial targets. WLM got 1600 photos instead of 3000 and Helsinki rephotograph 250 participants instead of 1000.
At the same time, we had also success stories in these projects too. We added the Sami languages to our Wiki Loves Monuments campaign as part of the International Year of Indigenous Languages and extended our competition to north, participation to the celebration of 70 years of the Skolt Saami in Sevettijärvi event, The Sacred Place workshop at the Finnish Museum of Photography, presentation about the results of the Wiki Loves Monuments competition and rephotography track at the Photo Archive Days. Helsinki photography also developed the photo walks and rephotography exhibition in Brygga event space of Oodi got 8000 visitors in 2019.

Partnerships
In 2019 our main numeric targets were to organize at least 5 data related workshops for 5-15 people and to participate in at least 6 events that were part of a larger event. For Wikidata related workshops we did 8 events, most reported already in midpoint report.
In the second half of the year we had a post-Wikimania sematic-web meetup with the National Library’s Finto team for 10 people. As part of a larger event we organized 7 workshops or presentations. At All digital Week, Õõutveäkka and Collaborative Game Histories events we had a Wikimedia info booth and held presentations. At photo archive days we had a presentation about Wiki Loves Monuments and Helsinki rephotography. On December 5th we had a drawing workshop for kids as part of the 1st birthday of the central library Oodi in our Helsinki then-and-now rephotography exhibition. Lentokonefani also had a presentation on Heraldry in Wikipedia in Studia Heraldica series by Heraldica Fennica.
Following plans didn’t actualize. Creating 4 mix-n-match tasksets did not happen in 2019. Planned collaboration with Wikidocumentaries didn’t realize either. However, Wikidocumentaries was used as an example of how the new Sami language support in Wikidata is used in external sites in our events.
Wikimedia Suomi was selected to Finna consortium group for the period 2020 - 2021. Finna consortium group is the steering group of the Finna service. Susanna Ånas was selected as Wikimedia Suomi’s representative.
